In a plot that borrows from the Bruce Lee classic WAY OF THE DRAGON, UNINVITED GUEST OF THE STAR FERRY stars Im Ja-ho as a rogue-with-a-heart-of-gold out to protect Korean immigrant restauranteurs in Hong Kong from being forced out of business by triad gangsters. Legendary Korean martial artist Hwang Jang-lee plays his nemesis, the boss of the triad, wearing a long blond wig for no apparent reason.
Unseen outside of Korea (and maybe Hong Kong and Taiwan) for nearly 40 years, UNINVITED GUEST is mostly (in)famous for being the “source film” for the IFD cut and past action classic NINJA TERMINATOR. Neon Eagle Video is proud to give this film its North American premiere in this limited-edition Blu-ray, taken from the only film element we could source – a battered 16mm print provided to us by IFD Film and Arts, LTD.
